OK, so i'm on orthotrycyclen, and i'm a sunday starter. Last week was placebo week (though i don't take the green pills, i throw them away).

So last night i thought it was sunday night. (seriously! and no chemical influence either...) So, i took my first 'white' (non-placebo) pill on saturday instead of sunday. my question therefore is:

If i continue on (taking one pill/day, as if i were a Day 1 starter, and Day 1 was saturday) will that affect how the pill works this month? I don't think it should, since I've been on the pill for awhile (it's not like this is the 'starting' month) and all I did was shifted things a day or so... but if someone wants to jump up and yell, "no, no, it won't work," i'd like to know that now as oppoed to later :)

thanks as always, y'all

I think it should work fine so long as you keep going like normal. Just switch it back next month.

It will work fine, since you actually started your white pills early there isn't any increased risk of pregnancy. However, don't just take an eight day break to get back on a sunday start next month- to be totally safe, you'll need to take a white pill from another pack or use backup for a week.

Sorry, it is kind of confusing. Keep taking your pills like you are. If you want to get back to a sunday start (you can always stay on Saturday, it will be just as effective), you will need to take a pill from another pack at the end of the cycle (before you get your period) or at the beginning of the next cycle, basically so you don't end up missing a pill to get back on the sunday start. I hope I clarified this a bit.
