Jan. 11th, 2008 07:32 pmI'm going to the doctors for this on the 16th. What are some causes for heavy prolonged irregular bleeding? I've had this happen non stop since fall progressively getting closer and closer to the point where I am bleeding more days than I am not. My lower abdomen is swollen (I cut back on salt and drank a lot of water thinking I could flush it out) and it did nothing. And what are some things I could do to boost my energy in the mean time because I am really tired from this.

You might want to up your iron a little bit. Heavy bleeding can make you anemic. I have to take a high iron multi vitamin during my period or I can't function because I'm so tired.

Date: 2008-01-12 12:52 am (UTC)I was probably 24 or 25 when mine started. I just kind of blew it off as "getting older, periods change" I didn't have them diagnosed until I was 28.
