This is similar to the below post, but I'm really frustrated and need to ask. After forgetting to re-order my OrthoTriCyclin last October, my period has been scarcely seen since. My last regular period (on BCP) started October 17, and after that, I went almost two months before getting my period again. At this time, I still didn't have my pills, because I was waiting to go home over Christmas break and see my regular gynecologist for a refill.

Anyway, I haven't had my period since then, and that was sometime in early December.  I've taken three pregnancy tests since then, and I'm not pregnant, but I really want to have my period so I can go back on the pill.  My complexion has gotten really bad :(

Has anyone else had a three+ month gap between periods after going off BCP?  Does parsley tea really work?

It can be normal for your periods to play hide and seek after going off HBC. 3+ months is on the long end of normal, but it can still be normal. If you've been having protected sex (condoms)and don't have reason to believe that you're pregnant, you can do ahead and restart your pills without your period - it's perfectly fine. Just follow your pill's instructions as if you were doing a Sunday start - your body doesn't know a Sunday from any other day.

I've heard that ginger can help induce menstruation as well, but I could be wrong.

Parsley can be used to induce your period, yes. You can either eat it fresh (I enjoy making tabouleh and adding in lots of extra fresh chopped parsley) or make tea. If you make a tea you need to be sure the water you pour over the parsley is hot but NOT BOILING. If the water's boiling/at that temp when it hits the parsley it'll destroy the chemicals that you want in there.

My grandmother was the first one who told me about it. It's also on sisterzeus, I believe. Plus, I've used parsley to induce my period numerous times.

I have had cramps for little over a year and I get them once or twice a month. I have also had discharge for about 6 or 7 months and I get discharge every day.
___________
one time i wiped and found a huge red stain, but nothing was in the toilet. could that have been my period?
___________
also, my mom doesn't even know that I know what a period is, so ho should I tell her?
and another thing, my mom got me a pack of pads, but I needed them for the discharge. So what should I say happened to them(remember she doesn't know that I know what discharge is).
