It started a week ago wednedsday, the first twenty-four hours were the deluge, after that the barely-worth-the-femprods brown trickle. A fairly light one this time. Didn't notice when it ended: too busy with all of the hipmama spectacle.

Mixed a cupful up with a jug of water, as usual, and gave it to the plants. I don't know whether menstrual fertilizer makes a difference or whether it's all hippie-witchful thinking, heheh, but I figured it can't hurt.Anyhow, the garden looks pretty healthy this year.

I joined up a few days ago, but it usually takes me a while to say hi. So.. Hi :)

Got my period Wednesday after expecting it for four days (gotta love PMS). I'm having problems with pads. I've used them since the whole deal started (back when I was 15) and don't have that bulkiness problem that the tampon companies try to tell me I have. I'm fine with Always because they're so thing. But the wings suck. I need a longer front so I put it up higher than is intended and the wings always bunch up. Yesterday I finally had an idea and trimmed them a bit. Today I just folded the tops and that seems to be working. I did get outside the lines so to speak, but I don't know if that's just do to shifting or what.

Always is trying to drive us insane. They keep changing their colors and the sizes and the packaging. Do their long maxis really need to be a foot long? With less than a quarter of that in the front? I know there's nothing wrong with my vagina. This has finally made me want to try the cup but because I'm in college and live in a dorm that'd be awkward. Grrr.

Just thought I'd add this here. I wrote it earlier today and didn't think to put it here. Wasn't thinking to well :)
------------------------------------------------

Can I forbid my body to do the whole lining of the uterus then shedding of said lining thing until I actually have sex? I mean, isn't a bit stupid to go through all of this when there's absolutely no chance of the blood and tissue being needed? It's a terrible waste of energy for the parts involved to do all that crap. And think of all the cotton, plastic, and adhesive I'm using up. Poor environment. Makes me feel bad. I'd look into the cup thingy, but that'd be impossible to use while living in a dorm.

"Hey Denise, what are you doing?"

"Washing out this plastic cup that collects my menstrual fluid and is safe on the environment. Oops, can you get me some papertowels?"

"I'm never speaking to you again. In fact, I'm moving out of this building."

Then again, after a few weeks the girls on my floor would probably not be surprised to see me cleaning blood off my hands.

Ooo..this got graphic. I've got to remember that most people don't have to tolerance for this kind of thing I do. Maybe I should warn Ryan.
