The day I decide to wear my cute new white undies is the day I get my period.

Today my discharge seemed rather different. This is actually the second time this occurred or that I've noticed it occurred.

Normally about 3 or 4 days after I finish my period, it is occasionally white, kinda milky. But now it is clear and kinda jelly like.

Is this possibly normal?

I browsed the memories, but couldn't find what I was looking for...

I'll be spending next weekend with my SO, and I'm also scheduled to be on my period at that time. Although we don't have a problem with having sex then, I'd rather not have to deal with it at all this time. I'm on Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and have heard of skipping your period by not taking the last 7 pills (I can't recall what they're called).

My questions are:

Will this mess up my cycle?
Would I still have some spotting?
Is it safe?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. :)

This is going to sound really 'mommy's girl'-ish of me, but my mom always told me to never take a really hot bath or be in hot water while on your period. Is there any truth to this? If there is, why is it such a bad thing? A nice, hot bath helps with my severe cramps...
