I quite often have noticeable discharge from time to time, so I figure that's normal. However the last few days, it's been heavier than normal [need a pad most days] and it's yellow and smells stronger than normal. I know that's abnormal and probably infection or bacteria, but it doesn't itch, so it's not thrush.
What is it and what can I do? Doctor is last option... :(

Sounds like a bacterial infection - Bacterial Vaginosis (http://www.4woman.gov/faq/bacterial-vaginosis.cfm#a). Unfortunately if that's the case you do need antibiotics. Either way a change in color and odor is definitely something you need to get checked out.

Is money a problem? If there's a Planned Parenthood or other health clinic near you, they may be able to help.

Sounds like a yeast infection to me. At any rate, you NEED to see a doctor to have it confirmed. Letting it go is NOT an option.
