Ok, I know this happened before... but I think it might not be a false alarm this time.

My period is late. Usually I get it either Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Well.. it's Wednesday morning.. and it's not here. Could it be because of my bronchitis medication? Like, it's just going to be a little laggy because of the meds? The thing is, I had sex with my ex not too long ago. Probably like 1 1/2 weeks. And he didn't come inside of me, but I heard that you can still get pregnant from that clear stuff that oozes out of their penis beforehand.

And when I asked the nurse at the hospital when I was getting my medication subscription, I told her that I was on birth control [ortho tri] and asked whether or not it would interfere with the medication. She said that I'd have to use another form of birth control. But THEN, when I went to Planned Parenthood, I asked one of the nurse-people the same thing, and she said that ortho tri would still work if I was on any type of medication.

So I kinda just believed the nurse at Planned Parenthood, stupidly assuming that they knew more about that type of thing. So now I'm pretty much kicking myself in the ass for not taking heed. But, I'm just really fucking nervous right now. Has anyone else had the same problem? Or any advice? I'm reeeeaallllly scared!!!!

I know for me that the few scares I have, I freak out, test, come up negative, then start like a day or two later. The stress keeps back the tide apparently.

The only drugs I know for sure that messes up the pill are antibiotics. If you took one for your bronchitis, go get a pregnancy test.

Otherwise, call your local pharmacy -- they have a Physicians' Desk Reference book, which lists any contraindications of a drug. Tell them the name of the drug that you took, and they should quickly be able to tell you if there is a problem.

If all is okay, its probably just your normal body funking around, compounded by the stress of thinking you might be pregnant.
