Dec. 13th, 2001 04:58 amI was talking with a male friend of mine whose wife recently got pregnant (he got laid off from work and was spending a lot of time at home, so... yeah). Their first child is a couple years old now, and was a big surprise because she was conceived while the wife was on pill BC. Progesterone-only type. Before going on the pill, the wife had had several (about 5) miscarriages. It turns out the reason she had been having so many miscarriages was because her body wasn't producing enough progesterone at a critical point-- the BC supplied it.
Just wanted to share an interesting story. Anyone ever hear anything like this?
