I don't use stuff for that. I just sorta...sit here and feel bloaty. Mostly because I never have any of it around.
I tough it out all on my own. >o

I still feel bloaty, but at least the cramps are gone hehe, I get really bad cramps so I thought I should invest in midol.

I don't remember which cultures exactly, but I remember reading about one where menstruating women were considered to be at the height of their power. For that reason, they were avoided. Perhaps increased mental accuity is part of that. Hmm.

Many times I do feel very powerful when I'm bleeding...mostly when I can feel my uterus moving but there is no pain. Weird, I know...that's the only way I can think of to describe it...although if I'm really crampy, I just usually feel like crap and want to curl up under a blanket with a good book and snooze.

being blunt and sarcastic to begin with, I find I lose all inhibitions to put people in thier places when I am bleeding... plus, I feel very much like a woman at these times, and that makes me feel powerful, superior, even, to know what my body is doing and what it is capable of... but mostly, I think I am tired, and my wit seems at its height then, for some reason.

sometimes I have an increase in energy levels and am more organised (I usually end up getting up to date on the housework) but more often than not this gets masked by cramps that drain my energy.
