I am wearing a pad today.

I know I know...old fashioned huh? But don't you like to just get it all out of you?...all that mess...all that stuff...out?

I know I sound sick, but it's true. I just recently (actually last night) found out about "the keeper". I am a person who only wears tampons when I need to.....swimming, certain clothing etc etc...pads to me seem very secure. I've never once had a leak or anything of that sort. Would "the keeper" give me that security?
Because with Tampons I've had leaks....and without pantyliner back up...it sucks.

Also another question: Do tampons in fact worsen cramps?

Thanks! :O)

I've never noticed a correlation between tampons and cramps. My vagina's pretty stretchy, and doesn't seem to notice a tampon.

But I frequently alternate with pads, because they help me feel more "rinsed out."

tampons give me worse cramps sometimes. there's days i just can't put anything inside me. though absorbent things like tampons do "feel" different than cups (i've only used instead, though i imagine it's similar with the keeper).

insteads are sort of hardish plastic and...i guess it's polyurethane. keepers are some kind of rubber. those are the only kinds i know about.

apparently, I have the opposite effect, with pads... they make me feel kinda gross, like I severely *need* a rinsing out... heh... yuck.

i totally agree with you! with pads, the blood spreads out into a wide area of stuff and u sit down and sit on your blood and its just nasty. my skin also gets a little irritated from pads and the bloodiness...vivent les tampons!

I get this thing, especially on the first day of my period or when I do heavy exercise during my period. Not really cramps or pain (I get that too, it's different), but an uncomfortable feeling that I can't really describe. More of a dull ache.

While I haven't noticed actual cramps being worse with tampons, they do seem to make this achy feeling worse at times.
