You can use both...whatever is comfortable for you.. Once you start using tampons, you may not like them, or you may prefer them. It is a matter of choice.

I don't even like changing brand of tampons. ;) Schools/newstands only have Playtex most of the time. =P

je suis d'accord avec toi

goodness, i fell in love with tampons the first time i used em. from then on I hated pads. I remember running around school last day of 8th grade and screaming "i am the tampon queen". I totally understand you, pads r just to primative. and uncomfortable i might add.

Grrrlz-
It is called a Menstrual FLOW! Why on Earth do some wymn feel the urge to plug themselves up? Don't you think tampons are more risk than they are worth? I am thinking of getting a keeper, seems like best solution so far.

The Keeper is the best! I used mine once and am already trying to figure out how to get rid of my supply of pantyliners and pads.

Drop then off at a woman's shelter with (of course) info about the keeper :)
They will find a use for them I am sure!

I'm all about the Keeper, but I also don't think anyone has the right to put down other women for choosing whatever they may choose to take care of the blood...

If you take anything I said as a "put DOWN" then buck up! When I point out what is to me the obvious (ie- FLOWWWW) it is just outtah concern for my sisters.
I had a grrl pal die of TSS in junior high. She had been wearing her tampon for less than 8 hours when she collasped in our geometry class.
Before judging my words and assuming they are "PUT DOWNS" try checkin' my motives.
You know how to reach me :)

no worries- I'll never complain too hard about a sister watching out for another.
