This is from "We'Moon is a lunar calendar/appointment book. A handbook in natural rhythm that comes out of international womyn's culture:
"We'Moon means 'women.' Instead of defining ourselves in relation to men (as in WO-man or FE-male), we use the word we'moon to define ourselves by our primary relation to the natural sources of cosmic flow. Other terms we'moon use are womyn, wimmin, womon, womb-one...As we'moon, we seek to be whole in ourselves, rather than dividing ourselves in half and hoping that some 'other half'[ will complete the picture. We see the whole rangew of life's potential embodied and expressed by we'moon and do not divide the universe into sex-role stereotypes according to a heterosexual model."

Re:
Date: 2002-01-19 01:03 am (UTC)your reply seems very venomous. it was not my intent to offend anyone or claim female superiority or separationist sentiments with this post. just another angle from which to look at ourselves as women.

Date: 2002-01-19 09:57 pm (UTC)i'm not for hating men and being a raging feminazi.
but as i sat in class one day and just thought about the word women and every title that is put on me is related to a male.
i could A. Be happy that as a human race we are connected. and love my brother.
or B know that i can never by this worlds definitions and words be seperate from a man.
so i truly don't know how i feel about all of it. i do like relating it to the moon and the womb. that is actually very nice. and celebrating womanhood , "the wild woman ". (which is a good book by the way_)
this book sounds quite nice.
