i would like to say hello, seeing as i am a bit new to this community...i read it all the time, but never thought to post:)
so hello all:)

i have a question or something to ask...

i am a week to 2 away from my period and i am experiencing something that i never had before.
my nipples are sooo sore...it's like a constant hurting/burning feeling (i can't really think of a better way to describe it) is this normal before a period?
i am also experiencing wierd moods...i am down, then sad, then mad...does anyone else get this????
or am i experiencing something entirely different?

if anyone has any idea i would love to hear it...thanks.

I get this with PMS... but it is only severe the first month of so that I am pregnant...any possibility? If this is new, and you're not a teen, then it might be worth considering.

no i am not a teen...i am in my early/mid 20's.
i sure hope that i am not pregnant...i couldn't afford that right now.

so you think that i should head over to the doc if it persists...or just go anyway????

if it keeps going past your cycle, you should definately see your doctor... just because pain is your bodies way of telling you there is a change in it, and good change pain is usually mild and short lived.

could be just that the hormones are affecting you more than usual this month.. if you've been stressed or sick that can happen. or, if you're in your thirties or close to, it could be pre-menopausal symptoms starting up, i imagine; i think i've read of things like that being their precursors sometimes. anyhow, hope you feel better!

I've had the weird nipple thing you described going on before... not that that's necessarily a good sign, just that it's not completely rare and your breasts are most likely not going to fall off ;)
as for the moodiness, I'm all kinds of moody from a few days before to a few days after my period starts... but then, I'm bipolar, so I'm not a good specimen for mood changes ;x
if both these symptoms are unusual for you, then you might try calling the nurse at your doctor's office and seeing what s/he has to say. :)

Sounds about right to me. The sore nipple thing is something I have to deal with every cycle... It's really bad in my right nipple because I have that one pierced... lol

I can relate to the sore nipple thing, too. But I personally just think it's neat...
