I hate my period.

I always spend the first day of it on the toilet throwing up in the trash can.

Isn't that a pretty thought?

I can relate to that. Though I am now considered post menopausal I remember my girlhood periods. Every 1st and 2nd day was spent at home in bed. The cramps were so bad I couldn't rest. I was more often than not in the bathroom expelling from both ends! It was horrid. I have 4 adult kids now. None of their births were nearly as bad as my periods had been! What I found interesting was that after the boys were born I continued having rough periods, yet after my daughter, the youngest, was born, my periods became regular and painless. I think she affected my hormones to the positive. Since she was born until about a year ago they were predicable and easy. Suddenly a year ago, without warning, they just stopped. None of the signs were present. I seemed to have a PMS kind of maybe once a month but no M to follow.

Hang in there. Talk to your doctor, maybe there is a hormonal imbalance, or ... ??? My mom always gave me what is now called Chai and that and heating pads and electric blankets soon eased the pain. Maybe some of that helped???

Good luck!

it's funny, I generally expect that birth would be a million times worse than period pain etc. but I've actually heard quite a few women say the same thing you said. Interesting stuff...
