New to the community, and all that jazz.

I've got horrible cramps. I came home from work early, because I couldn't focus they were so bad. I can't remember the last time I had cramps so bad that I wanted to curl up and cry.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can ease my pain? Some people have suggested having an orgasm, but I'm single, and I don't like masturbating while having my period.

I've been off the pill for almost a year now, and I don't think I have ever had cramps this bad, on OR off the pill. And I won't go on the pill again, even if it does help. (It made the slightly annoying cramps I used to get go away).

Bah. Suggestions anyone?

Orgasms actually never helped me. Things that have: chamomile tea, taking a walk or engaging in other moderate but not too strenuous exercise, deep breathing, or finding something else to distract me.
I can honestly say, too, that the best thing for my cramps has turned out to be regular exercise. I've been on the Pill for about two years, but I didn't notice any difference until I started working out regularly. Now, most months are comparatively a breeze.

Do a shot of something like Baily's Irish cream or something. The alcohol works to relax the cramps and helps you sleep through while you are cramping. And a heating pad tucked into your pants while you sleep is always nice.

take a hot hot bath with and drink chamomile tea and smoke a big fat bowl.

I've said it before and I'll say it again :)

camomile tea!! It works wonders, I much prefer to drink a pot of camomile tea than take a load of ibuprofen which makes me weak and drowsy. Camomile tea is also a mild diuretic so it will relieve bloating too.
