so i just got my period like 20 minutes ago. i think my whole cycle is about 35 days long or something. is that irregular? it's always taken a really long time. i just thought it would take a few years to settle. (i'm 19 and got my period when i was 15.) is it supposed to be 28 days? or is that just the average? or what?

If it's always about 35 days for you, then it's not irregular. What's regular is regular for you, not an average.

35 days is a little longer than average, but not especially so. I spent several years with a 25 day cycle.

Mine cycle runs 31 days like clockwork...dont know if its normal but I dont think it's not uncommon. :-)

28 days is just the average.. i was always told that anything from 15 to 40 is "ok" if it's regular for you and not giving you trouble. go figure--individuality! :)

before the pill, i'd bleed for approx. 3 weeks (mostly heavily) and then wouldn't get my period fr another 3-6 months. the pill makes me regular...i get my period now on the wednesdaynite after the placebos or thursday morning like clockwork. makes my life a hell of a lot easier.
