I use a tablespoon or so of parsely flakes from the grocery store spice row, and brew them in hot but not boiling water. i let them steep for 10+ minutes, then drink it. i do this three cups a day. the most i've ever had to drink was five cups. are you doing three cups a day and using the method described above? if so and it gets to three days without bleeding, you should call a doctor because there could be something else wrong. (when was your last period? if it was like a week ago, there might not be a uterine lining to shed. otherwise, you could be pregnant (though i'm assuming there's a low risk if i'm to believe your lj username ;} heh), because parseley is not an abortificant from what i've read. or, there could be some other issues at work.)
i'm not steeping that long, but i got parsley flakes from the grocery store and am using approximately that amount. i'm using water that i've run through a coffee maker and using a steel mesh steeping ball with the loose flakes. i'm having 3 cups a day (6 cups now). my last period was in october, and i'm most definately not pregnant. ;) i think i'll make an appointment with the doctor. i've got polycystic ovaries, so it might not work as well for me.
... yeah, i usu. use about 2 tsp steeped for 10 mins, three times a day (usually being most of the time i used it this past month)... it worked for me in about a day and a half. I'm assuming this was for a late period? (ie you already had the lining built up in the uterus so there was something there to shed)... if so, then yeah, after a few days you might check with a doc--or alternatively, wait till next month and see if you bleed ok then, and if not see a doc then. (could be just a wacky month--before i went on b/c pills i had a few of those. no period, no reason.. .just to keep me on my toes i guess! :)
yes, it can stimulate menses if you're a little late. (it can cause uterine contractions) it seems to have worked for me, and there was quite a thread on it awhile back somewhere...
