is anyone elses' period really irregular? Mine has been so ever since it began. I kept thinking it would even out, but it never has. Itz finally here anyhow, 37 dayz this month

I'm beginning to think that this whole regularity thing is a myth. I am 22 and I don't know anyone who is naturally 'regular' without being on the pill or something. My cycle has ranged from 24-38 days, but it has pretty much stayed 28-33 days. It's been more unpredictable than that more recently, and I'm not sure whats up with that. Average cycle is what is average for you, and that isn't necessarily 28 days.

You want to talk about irregular? I've gone as long as seven MONTHS without bleeding. (The doctors have found nothing wrong with me.) I had my period a few weeks ago, but before that it was three months.

Mine are very irregular, but I have medical reasons for that. =(

Some women know not only what day they will start bleeding, but what *time*. Me, I'm lucky if my cycle starts more than 21 days and less than 56 days since the last one... (and I've been at this for 20 years or so). My mom said she was irregular until she got pregnant, and after that it was every 28 days like clockwork...

I agree that it has to be a myth about being regular. I've never been regular and I've been getting them for 10 years now. In fact, this current one I just started was 70 days after my last one, over two months. It's a record for me though and I'm getting it checked out.

There are some very rare girls out there who are totally regular without the pill, but I'm convinced they're in the minority. I don't think my cycle was ever shorter than 30 days, and every once in a while it ranged up into 40 days, but that was what was normal for me, so, in another sense, quite regular ^_^

eh, I should clarify -- I'm on the pill now, hence why my cycle is described in the past tense above. ^_^
