wow, long time! (yes, i guess you know that :) Is this normal for you? If not, have you seen a doctor? This could well be a sign of something more serious you need to have checked... in the meantime, make sure you get plenty of rest, water, and perhaps an iron supplement to help your body "deal with" bleeding so long!

(are you coming off of hormonal b/c--the Pill or the depo-provera, etc? I'm told that can make you bleed for a long time, in some cases... )

ok this is my story...

I had an abnormal pap back in late Novemeber ....skipped my period in December for a whole month it NEVER came. First week of January I get it lightly for like 3 days, and i start the pill (started the pill only when period came because that is what the doc told me to do)....then a week later it came back......and i've had it EVER since!...make it stop!!

...have you been back to the doc about the abnormal Pap? I know they usually don't do paps while you're bleeding.. but in your case, I think an exception would be deserved :)

not since..all they said to me was "see you in 6 months" ....*sigh* hasn't been 6 months yet

geez... i'd think that all that bleeding might be a reason to go in sooner (i sure would, just cause i'd want to know what-in-the-hell was going on with me!)

I just had a mega long period too (about 25 days), I'm not on the pill though, it seems that I have dysfunctional uterine bleeding (if curious look it up on the web, there's plenty about it) which is kind of a blanket term for "we can't figure out why your bleeding, so it's probably a hormonal imbalance". I had two options, go on the pill which I didn't want, or find some way to correct whatever hormonal imbalance is happening so I'm taking a herb called Agnus Castus which is supposed to help balance the hormones. So far the bleeding hasn't come back.
But anyway, you should definatley go back to your doctor about it, bleeding for that long can make you anemic and drained which is no fun :(
