Ok.
What are some of the reasons besides Pregnancy that a woman would not get her period? If it is stress, why does that happen? Besides it being stress, what else could be the issue?
I hope this makes sense and that some people will be kind enough to answer...I am sweating bullets here and I am only about 4 days late.

Ok, two reasons for ME are:

ovarian cysts
pituitary gland problems

Also diet could have something to do with it, if you for some reason lost a LOT of weight, or exercise lots.

Moving did it for me. I moved and didnt get it for SIXTEEN WEEKS.

Medications -- my friend took that Depo Provera, and even after stopping it, I think she went nearly a year without it.

i dont even know how to make goddamn parsley tea :looks up a line and wonders if 'man' should be changed to 'woman', decides against it, feels stupid, and stops with the little self conversation already:

other than pregnancy or stress the only other thing I can think of would be body fat -- if your body fat percentage drops too low, you body freaks out and say "Hey! There's a famine! No more breeding!" and you stop getting your period.

I wouldn't even tell you to consider this as an option, though, unless you work out / diet *a lot*. This is the sort of thing that only happens to anorexics and pro-athletes.

eh, I did think of one other thing -- youth. There were some times when I was younger when I just missed a couple periods for seemingly no reason, which when I got a few years older *never* happened, no matter how much stress I was under. (The time I had a pregnancy scare at the same time I was moving into the dorms for my first year of college comes to mind -- and it still came on time) If you're pretty young (well, young in relation to when you started menstruating -- maybe if it's only been a few years for you), then maybe your cycle hasn't totally settled in yet.

disregard that last bit about youth..
