matter of preference....this one goes out to pad users...

Do you prefer:

Cottony soft cover

or

Plastic Dry-weave protection

You make the call.

(real) cotton flannel washable/reusable pads.

No sticky plastic or hairs pinched by adhesives.

I've mentioned this before but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Gladrags.

yanoo, when I used those (well, moonpads) I ended up flipping mine over so the towel part was facing me instead of the cotton cover. had better lucky for me then. weird.

The Gald Rags are flannel not terry so they don't have a different side. Both are the same. They work well for me...Only had one leak once when I couldn't get to the bathroom to change it.

Yes! That's exactly what I was going to say!

Bonus - my cramps have lessened since I stopped using tampons. *grin*

I also, um, *blush* I used to feel like I would get "diaper rash" when wearing dry-weave pads. Then I switched to cottony pads, but they were still made with plastic fibers, so I still got the irritation, although not as bad.

Now I wear cotton flannel reuseable pads ( I have some LunaPads, some GladRags and a few I've made myself out of an old plaid skirt I can't fit into anymore ) and I'm a happy camper!

I highly recommend them to all menstruating women!! :)

Sadly, most girls can't get past the "I have to wash out bloody pads? EWWWW!" reaction. *sigh*

Plastic dry-weave. I use Always Ultra Overnight w/ Wings. Basicly, the ones that cover the entire lower half of your underwear, and are really thin. THe thing with the soft covers is that they don't absorb much, so there's too much of that 'wet' feeling. Ick.

i totally agree, i like the "dry" feel and the absorption. plus, i feel like there is less smell with the dry weave ones, but that could just be in my head. dry weave stores more than soft cotton ones.
