Anyone else with this experience?
Feb. 15th, 2002 03:19 pmI'm having a problem with my periods which is actually nothing new for me, but I just need to feel like I'm not the only one. So, I'm posting this for two reasons. 1-to see if I'm alone or if this is normal 2-to find out if I may have a problem.
I have always had irregular periods, but lately they have been getting worse. I have been bleeding for weeks or even months at a time. I haven't really been skipping periods either, which makes this even more annoying. I have bleed for a few weeks, then stopped for 3 weeks and then bleed for a month.
My last period lasted about 3 weeks and then I stopped, or so I thought. I went about two days without doing anything, but then I started spotting. I spotted very randomly for about a week and then I started heavy flow again.
This morning I woke up in a pool of liquid, and I thought I was going to have a huge mess of blood. Oddly enough it wasn't blood. It was more like a mixture of blood and some other liquid. I had been to the bathroom about two hours earlier, so this happened some time between then and when I woke up. This actually is worrying me, because it has never happened to me before? Has anyone else ever experienced a problem like this?
Also, as a side note. I have been told that my irregular periods are probably due to my obesity. I have noticed that when I am exercising regularly I have more regular periods.

is the pill an option for you? now my periods are regular and i only get a little cramping and bleed for only about 5 days.

Date: 2002-02-15 01:12 pm (UTC)... as for discharge that is only partially blood, what was the rest? mucus-y stuff? tissue? is there any chance that it could be a misscarriage? (hate to bring up scary stuff....) anyhow, i hope stuff evens itself out!
