HIV and the menstrual cycle

Apparently levels of the virus in HIV-positive women changes over the course of their cycle, being lowest (but still not undetectable) during ovulation. There are also a couple studies that indicate birth control pills may increase the chance of catching HIV during intercourse with an infected partner. Oddness.
