i had a friend ask me a question yesterday, and i don't know the answer, but i told her i knew where i could ask some people who probably do know the answer.;)
anyway, her question is regarding having sex on your inactive birth control pill week. does this increase the chances of pregnancy, and by how much? we both read through our birth control pamphlets and neither of us could find an answer.

As long as you're taking the pill religiously like you're supposed to, placebo week is no less protected than any other week.

i'd never really thought about it, but my reasoning was that if it were a huge risk, they would probably print something in the birth control directions.

well, my boyfriend and i always use condoms plus the pill, so i'd never even thought about it. my friend was a little freaked out and trying to find the answer to it. thanks to you and amy for helping me calm her down a bit.: )
