Question for the ladies on LJ!!!

Ladies on LJ -

Is it normal to get your monthly a week early? I have been under a lot of stress lately (as those who read my journal know) .... My period has never been early like this - late yes. Early no.

Please comment and let me know - soothe my worried mind please!!!!!!!!!!

Stress can make that happen. If you're otherwise healthy (no prior gyno problems, etc) probably no need to worry. Of course, you could always call your doctor if you still aren't sure. I get mine early every once in a while if I had a few months prior that were late. Like my body tries to catch up.

Aren't bodies screwy?! Are you on birth control pills? I know that when I was on BCP's, I would get my period every 2-3 weeks, instead of every 28 days. It sucked. If you ARE on BCP's, and it happens again, perhaps you should go to the doctor- they might need to up your dose... And if you're NOT on BCP's, I wouldn't worry about it. :) Hormones are always weird, and EVERYTHING seems to affect them. :)

Personally I'm on birth control pills now for the last 3 weeks.. my periods are fine though. I'm used to 24-26 day cycles and the occasional 30 day cycle followed by a 20 day cycle. When I go on the pill though, it's always exact to the 28 days, the period starts on the 2nd sugar pill.

Anytime your body undergoes stress it is not abnormal for your period to become out-of-sorts..rest easy, it is probably nothing for you to worry about unless the bleeding is prolonged and heavy. If still in doubt, call your doctor, but in the meantime, I wouldn't worry about it.

our wonderful mother earth/universe goddess/moon maiden, has an amazing way of doing this to our cycles. it was a full moon on thursday....hmmmm....
oh yeah. stress too. my last period was 14, yes, 14 days overdue, you can only imagine what was going through my mind..

I once had a 41 (FORTY ONE!) day cycle. I knew I wasn't pregnant- I hadn't had sex that month- but towards the end I took a pregnancy test, I was so weirded out! Damn aliens! *laugh*
