has anyone noticed feeling really depressed a few days to a week before their periods??
once i start bleeding i seem to be fine.

is there any way to curb this??

Absolutely. I typically have some sort of an emotional meltdown the day before I start; if I actually kept track of when my period was likely to show up, I'd attribute these feelings to dread, but I don't. I assume it's simply a wee storm of hormones.

I used to get horribly depressed before my period. I'd stay home from school and lay in bed crying. For years I did this, my mom thought it was just cramps, but I wasn't really in that much physical pain. Then, recently, I went on Clexa, an anti-depressant, for panic attacks, and it's totally gone! My periods are nice and fun now.

i never have periods, and so the build up to one doesnt leave me depressed.
but sometimes i get embarrasing bulges in my pants...but i can't help that...

dogs are everywhere now a days.... yet you never find any in my fridge

Yah, I know what you mean... All the times I've ever had to go to the hospital for suicide attempts and or cutting, have all been the week before my period. How fun. :)

I know my period is on its way when I start crying while watcing cheezy commercials on the telly, or smaltzy country ballads on the radio....

I also overreact to problems my children are having and things at work. I'm quite the little drama queen a week before my period.. Lol...
