so, my period's here, and last night my boyfriend and I had sex.

first of all, it was some of the best sex we've had in the two years we've been dating. But that's beside the point.

Afterwards, he kept smelling his hands, and telling me how especially great I smelled, and I was like, "but I'm bleeding!". He didn't care, he thought I smelled wonderful.

Funny how girls have more hangups about their periods than their boyfriends do.

I had an ex- who was a pre-med major.

He actually gave me oral sex when I was on my period. While I was grossed out, I did admire him for doing that. It also scared me, considering this happened right at the height of the AIDS scare (I don't have it, but you can get a lot of things from other people's fluids).

His feeling about all of this was "Blood is just protein."

(He never did become a doctor, becoming a graphic artist, instead.)

my bf's take on it seems to be "i don't like it cause it makes you hurt. other than that, why should i mind it? it's relatively little blood compared to what's in you... and the fact that it's here, on time, means you're healthy." really the only thing that changes if he's around (he lives rather a ways away during the school year) during my period is he's more likely to be real... well, sensitive, i guess, maybe a little protective at me. i think that's more because i tend to get pretty nasty cramps if i don't take my meds... he doesn't like to see me hurt.

... this, and considering he was raised in a house with no sisters and not that much background knowledge about the whole thing... i'm really rather proud of him *grin* well, also besotted, but proud too...

wow, if I were you, I'd be proud of him too. My bf's about 7 years older than I am, and has had a live in girlfriend before me, so I assume he's had lots of time to develop his good attitude ^_^

im not... he doesnt understand why 'when you are aroused.. you dont really bleed'.. i dont know...
like.. i couldnt see myself saying 'ayeee.. please wait while i remove my tampon so we can have sex', or 'ayyeee... let me take off my panties and hide my pad so we can get it on'...
i dont get it.. and i am afraid of bleeding too much and turning him off..
