Nausea and/or vomiting, sore breasts, more frequent urination. I'm not sure of what the other symptoms are. Then again, some people who are pregnant don't experience any of these other than missing their periods, so it's really hard to tell without a test. Hope everything works out.

Well, the quick answer is wait several months, and if you start getting morning sickness and being hungry all the time and peeing for four, you're likely pregnant.

More seriously, there's a reason they sell tests - early symptoms of pregnancy are highly idiosyncratic from woman to woman, and even in one woman from pregnancy to pregnancy.

I agree with the others...take a test. Many of the early symptoms of pregnancy are similar to PMS symptoms, which can linger on for a while if your period is late, so it's rather hard to tell.

Everybody is different. I, for instance, still got my period for the first two months of pregnancy. Which would explain why I didn't really know that I was until I started feeling other symptoms. Nausea was a big one, along with peeing every three hours. On the dot. I had a sharp pain in my lower stomach that would switch sides. I thought that I had Cancer or a cyst or something. Turned out to be my son. heh.

Just had to add this in response to the "peeing every three hours" part. I've read that most women should ideally urinate every three to five hours if they're properly hydrated. (Though of course, if you normally urinate less frequently and haven't increased your water intake, then yes, it's a sign that something's up!)

I'm not a frequent pee-er. hehe. At least I wasn't back then. I've since started drinking only water. So I know what you mean. When you're pregnant you tend to pee every hour. (Later on in the pregnancy.)

I'm told that if you get more blue/dark/visible lines on your breasts and/or inner labia, it's a symptom; but not everyone gets every symptom, of course. Also, what everyone else mentioned...

... disclaimer: never been pregnant, so can't give personal support to any of it ;) and I agree, getting a pregnancy test is probably a Good Thing, but you said you were going to so I shan't harp on it any more *grin*

If you just had sex, get EC (the "morning after pill", or emergency contraception)--it works for up to 72 hours (three days) after intercourse. You can get it from Planned Parenthood or most clinics. However, if it's been longer than that, then try to relax--stress can delay your period--and wait till your period comes; if it doesn't, then take a test. Good luck!

You said on your lj that you're on antibiotics; that can give you stomach upset. Also, if you had your period 2 weeks ago and your cycle is about "average" at 4 weeks, you'd be in the middle right now--you can get some cramping in the middle from ovulation. I don't think cramping is a sign of early pregnancy (someone correct me if I'm wrong?). However, that also means you're probably at a relatively fertile part in your cycle--so it's even more important (even more than vitally extremely important) that you use protection... so. If it's been less than 72 hours, see about EC, please; if it is later than that, just wait and see and try and relax (yeah, yeah, easier said than done, I know ;)...

I have heard that cramps ARE a sign of pregnancy. Also, I heard that if it's been two weeks since the unprotected sex, whether it's time for your period or not, the home pregnancy tests are likely to be accurate.

Pregnancy belly aches are occuring (for me) like an inch or two either way from my belly button, and probably about 1-2 inches south of the belly button, and the pain switches sides, due to growing uterus. If this sounds like your kind of pain, then be concerned.

Throwing in my own 2 cents worth.... I got more visible blue veins in my breasts for a while and got freaked out that I might be pregnant. It turns out it was side effects from bc pills. It sucks that a lot of pg symptoms are the same as PMS symptoms. There's just no way to tell except for those tests, it seems! :-)
