out of curiousity...

I've been starting to deal with migraines, and today I just noticed that they seem to come more frequently when

a. i'm on my period
b. i'm house sitting for my grandparents

i tried ruling out the usual food things (i dont eat most usual "trigger" foods except chocolate anyway...) and that didn't help. i cant connect it to lack of sleep, any particual kind of food...however I did notice that the last time i had a week long headache (it literally lasted 6 days) i was house sitting for my grandparents. again this weekend I was house sitting and had headaches yesterday and today. today i realized that i was also on my period both times.

anybody else have this problem? the menstruation link is at least worth a try

Well, the house sitting thing could have to do with sleeping funny, or perhaps an allergy in their house - having the ventilation system cleaned out can help with that. There could be tons of dust or something in there that's aggrivating things.

yeah, if this only happens when youre at your grandparents AND having your period, it could just be that your body is trying to deal with everything that goes on during your period while at the same time adjusting to a place other than your home. y'know, trying to do too much at once or take too much in, even though you might be slightly used to the house as you've been there before. or it could be that there's just a certain odor that you can't quite put your finger on that's only in your grandparents house that triggers your headaches.
i used to get them at work all the time from chemical smells, i didn't put two and two together at first...
