Just wanted to mention (and brag) about a really positive experience at the GYN's office. :)

I saw a new LPN and she was fantastic. Gentle, kind, asked lots of questions. Better yet, actually bothered to listen to me. Can you imagine that?

I mentioned that I had been reading news stories about studies that said it was okay to skip the placebos in birth control pills -- but what was her opinion? She replied that, "it is medically unnecesary to have a pill-induced period." I asked if that meant that I could skip them all the time, and she replied, "absolutely."

Tee-hee. No more periods for me! Sorry, OB & Always.

Ooh really? I really need to go to the gyn, I haven't been and I'm rather due to go. I've heard you need to have them every once in a while, but haven't heard straight from a professional's mouth either way.

My doctor suggest that I should have a period ever three months, because break-through bleeding can occur if the uterus lining gets to thick.

Let me know how it works out for you and if not having a period period (no pun intended) works!

I've been skipping placebos for several months and I still get a period once every 4 months or so. It's break through so don't be without a box of tampons or pads.. a period will sneak up on you or some break through bleeding or something so don't get happy yet. The evil will leak out... because it must ;)
