Out of curiosity, has anyone used the Kotex tampons? No one EVER talks about those...

i've used them *twice*. both were from dispensers in restrooms.

each time, the darn thing LEAKED horribly *and* the string broke.

i didn't buy them after that.

I don't like applicatiors, generally... but after I had my second daughter there was a lot of ripping (from cirvix on down... all the way down...) so the only way I could use tamopns for 6 months was if I used the Kotex smooth glide plastic applicators with rounded tip in teen slim. Other than that, I use OB... they work better with my body (they are half the length and hold as much) and I don't have to fiddle with an applicator if I don't want to. (easier to throw 4 or 5 in a pocket of the jeans that way!)

i've used kotex a couple times... i just don't like how they unroll when then start to absorb. basically, they're flat and rolled like a tube with a string stuck in the middle. when they'd open up, i'd leak. then also expand quite a bit length-wise and would push themselves out of me. i prefer playtex, which open like a flower. they're tent-shaped (like if you lay a kleenex on a table and pick it up in the center) with the string on the pinched end so when they open, they open upward and catch everything.

however, my younger sister insists on kotex. it's just personal preference.

Kotex, eww eww eww!

I had horrible experiences with leaking and irritation with those.
