Is anyone else paranoid of leaking?

I can be so overly obsessive about it -- that people will look or that everyone will laugh or something. Once in school, I leaked through my jeans so bad, I was so embarassed, but I don't think anyone really noticed or at least said anything. Ugh. I'm pathetic.

It's not fun but no big deal, people won't be shocked or surprised that you as a woman bleed :D

Yes, I can say I'm in the same boat. It drives me nuts, especially around the time I'm supposed to get my period, then all DURING it.
Oy.

When I first started getting my period (I was about 11), I leaked through my jeans pretty badly. I didn't notice until I was bending over at a water fountain and some little boys in my class were laughing at me and pointing.

It hasn't happened since, but it was horrible back then!

UGH I am terrified of getting stains on my clothes... and I really ahve no idea why. I really don't think people aregoing to think less of me, because accidents happen. And it's not like the stain won't come out or I can't buy a new article of clothing to replace it. Maybe I am just insane like that.

school...

once, in school.. i bled soo bad.. it was literally dripping down my leg and i was wearing shorts. i was in 7th grade, and sooo embarassed. i ran to the nurses office and called my mom crying hysterically. it was so awful. i dont even know who saw me, but i'm in 11th now and could care less. blah. also, dont you hate it when you have to soak/rinse your underwear? i wish they made disposable underwear for women on their rag.

Hey there...glad to see you around here!

You're certainly not the only paranoid one...I think it would be absolutely horrible. That's why I always carry a sweater or sweatshirt with me, in case something does happen.

In the last 2 years of high school, I must have leaked at least 6 times. Once it was so bad that I guess at that time my hormones were out of whack and I bled so much I had to leave school. Once I made my mom pick me up at lunch hour and buy me a new pair of pants (I live in the country and go to school in the city, so I couldn't go home to get a pair from there). After awhile I stashed an extra pair in my locker.

You're not alone. At my school in NZ - we have a school uniform and there is nothing worse than being forced to wear a skirt when you've got your period.

My first two years of my period, I was so paranoid everytime I stood up after an hour in class and could feel the blood draining out.

I always went to the toilet and checked. This year, my last year at High school, I'm much more used to it - I still worry a little depending on how heavy I am, but generally I'm in my winter school uniform (kilt with thick wool tights), wear a night/super heavy pad and don't worry.
