Hello...

First of all, on the big side note, or maybe the focus, I have just figured out how to post in The Menstrual Hut. Not because my computer gave mye problems, but because I am stupid and refuse to read ANYTHING that I don't see as necessary...

Anyway, Hi! My name is Azure. I have already posted replies to several people's posts, but I've never posted myself. (Obviously becuase I'm stupid...) I just started my period today. Ick. I don't get cramps persay so much as this feeeling of the upset stomach X 10. Nasty. Today I got cramps though. (I went out dancing last night.) So, I've been chillin' in the house with the painkillers. Yay for painkillers! My major gripe is that I have a pretty crazy cycle. It goes for about ever 5-6 and a half weeks. Very annoying. This began after I started getting it again, because before that I was very irregular. (I skipped 8 months once.) So, basically, the thing is, anybody with comments, and yay, look, I can post. (Becuase I'm stupid...)

Have you talked to a doctor about the irregularities? I was the same way... I'd get a period that lasted for 14 days, then skip a few months, have one that lasted 4 weeks, skip more months. Once in a while it was regular. Mostly it was all over the place.

So I was diagnosed with PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome, and now I take birth control pills to regulate the cycle and all is good (And because it's for a medical reason, my insurance covers the pill)

I went to the doctor because I was concerned about not getting my period regularly, and she just drew a diagram that explained hormone cycles to me like I was 11 and said that I could possibly be put on birth control pills. My mother did not want to put me on birth control, so we didn't go for that then, now I'm more regular, so we just skipped it altogether.

Your Dr. can help you find the problem. You need to do something because you are suffering needlessly. Do you take vitamins you might get aenimic from continuous blood loss if you're bleeding that much(just an opinion I'm a typical everyday kind of woman not a dr.)!

Sorry. My wording wasn't clear. What I meant was that in between bleeding I go about 5 or 6 and a half weeks. I don't bleed continuously. That would be horrid! Thanks for your concern, though. :)

It is believe me!! I took the Depo-Pravera shot March 13 and have been going through 1-2 tampons a day since March 23 and had my regular cycles to boot!!! Not fun at all.
