it's me again... i'm still not bleeding, and i'm starting to get very scared.

again, here's what happened:
my period was supposed to start yesterday, Monday. on sunday afternoon i started bleeding. the flow seemed to be normal for my first day.

when i went to change my tampon the next day, Monday morning, there was hardly any blood. and for the rest of the day, i didn't bleed at all.

i'm still not bleeding. and i'm really scared, because i've heard that it's possible to bleed just a little bit before pregnancy. even though i'm on the pill, i know that sometimes it just doesn't work. and i'm poor-- i really can't afford to go to a clinic... although if i can find out whether to worry or not, it might be worth not eating for awhile.

please, does anyone know any other reasons for your period to just stop? or any advice, really? i'm so very, very scared.

Please don't stop eating. Malnutrition can cause your period to stop and then you would be in a vicious cycle. Planned Parenthood has a sliding scale based on how much money you make.

Sometimes periods are just wonky. Give it a copule of days and see if it comes back.

have you tried a home pregnancy test? $12 is worth peace of mind... and the EPT style is what most Dr offices use for a non-blood work test anyway! I've gone without dinner for pregnancy tests before, so I know how you feel!

Periods can be funny. But, for your piece of mind : I used to work at a CPC, they offered free pregnancy tests. It is my understanding that most if not all CPC's offer free tests.

CPC stands for "crisis pregnancy center". I'm not sure how you'd find one, though I've seen at least one in the past that was affiliated with a church that I attended.

They typically offer free pregnancy tests and some sort of counseling, as well.

The same thing happens to me all the time actually. I went to the doctor frantic because I'd only been bleeding for about a day before it came to a screeching halt and there wasn't much blood at all. My ob/gyn said that if I had been meticulous about taking the pills every day that any amount of bleeding at the time when my period is supposed to arrive should be considered a period and not to worry myself. Pills have a 1% failure rate and that's mostly due to people missing pills. If you get genuinely worried, take a test. Worrying and stressing yourself out can seriously make your period take a vacation. I used to think this was total bull until my fiance left me and I didn't get my period for about three months.
