i just had to vent some anger

i hate my gyno. not only is she a bitch during the exam, but she never fucking calls in my fucking prescriptions for bc. even when we fucking call her 2 weeks in advance to fill the prescription. i have 5 fucking pills left in this pack. that's 5 pills left, AT ALL. i am due for my fucking period within the next 5 days (as if you fucking couldn't tell). if i dont get that goddam prescription in time, it will fuck my cycle over COMPLETELY. i am finally on a regular cycle, and now THIS. i am SO close to calling them up and leaving a short message that sounds a bit like this:
FILL MY FUCKING PRESCRIPTION BEFORE I MAIL YOU MY BLEEDING UTERUS

anyone in the DC area go to a GOOD gyno? (in other words, NOT DR. MASER or DR. ROSS)

Not sure what your insurance status is, but I had a really good experience the clinic at Whitman Walker in DC (not the NOVA office) when I went. Getting an appointment can be a bit tough beause they only have the gyn clinic two days a week, but I think I had an appointment within two or three weeks of my call. The clinic primarily targets lesbian and bisexual women, but they do AFAIK see heterosexual women as well. They're metro accessible too. (Closest stop is on the green line-U Street/Cardozo)

They were considerate, sensitive, and asked and answered questions. (Two examples-I had some questions about my hepatitis vaccinations, and she answered all of them, and discussed honestly whether or not I should get my hepatitis A vaccine. Also, I had some bruises left on my breasts from some rough sex. The doctor asked, "Are those from sex play, or from something else?" I told her that they were from sex play, she asked if I had any questions about that, or needed to talk to anyone, and when I told her no, she left it alone. No pressure, no jumping to conclusions, etc.) I had no insurance at the time, and they asked me if I could make a donation to the clinic. I was more than happy to do that.

As gyn experiences go, it was about as positive as one could possibly be.
