Guess who decided to show up a whole week early? This totally throws my cycle off. Now I know why I've been having headaches for the last week.

Does anyone else ever hurt "down there" during their period? I feel as if my pubic bones are being pulled in opposite directions. Someone told me that it was your cervix opening but I don't remember that pain while I was in labor.

i get weird painful twinges "down there" during and immediately preceding my period.

for me, it kind of feels like the muscles in the walls of my vagina start spasming in a very not pleasant way. it usually only lasts for a few seconds. just kind of sharp twinges. definitely a spasmy type feeling.


i'd never considered that it could be the feeling of my cervix opening a bit. frankly, i thought i was the only person in the world who got that weird twinge.
