i was getting used to not dealing with this. hooray for being able to use birthcontrol to skip these damn things.
anyone know any meds particularly effective at killing migranes *and* cramps?
and out of curiosity, does anyone else get *really* phyisically sensitive when theyre pmsing? (to the point where wearing your hair up or having pants with a metal button hurts and light and sound drives you nuts?)

My doctor's put me on a combination of a low level of an older antidepressant (Elavil) and a naproxin type med.

I'd been getting headaches/migraines 7 to 10 days a month (starting around the third day of my period..lasting a few days after along with a couple scattered throughout the month).

This is my first month trying it and so far it's not too bad. Yesterday morning I got most of the migraine signs but without any real pain. So far today nothing's happening. The other's I've had have also been shorter in length and not as painful.

Works for me!

(I take elavil at bedtime and 2 of the other every day of my period regardless if I have a headache or not.)

I've had a migraine since I started bleeding this time, and I've been taking lots of naproxen sodium. It's helping; I still feel wonky but it doesn't hurt. Excedrin works better but my cramps would kill me if I had caffeine, so, oh well...
