im a little worried for her..and i know she is dying....

could it be normal if it was only her 3 time or whatever having sex?? her period always came when she was on the hormone pills as well...kind of broke through..maybe they werent working??? she's also on presciption medication which could have messed it up...

any ideas???

I don't know about the rest, but if the pregnancy worry is from thrusday, a test won't show it up yet... it would show up an earlier possibility, most likely... and if her perscrition is anti-biotics, then yeah, it does effect the pill... I don't know about other perscriptions. Her Dr. and pharmasist should have warned her about it if it were to be a problem (not that they necessarily would have... but mine have always been great about that)

best of luck to her!!!

It would take 24 to 72 hours after she had sex before she could conceive - through the cervix, up the uterus, and through most of the fallopian tube is a long journey if you are a microscopic little spermata. So..if her period stopped immediately after sex, then something else is going on & it's probably nothing to worry about. If her period stopped a day or three after she had sex that's slightly more cause for concern - but if she was taking her pills correctly she wouldn't have ovulated, and even if she did miss a few pills she would be very unlikely to ovulate during her placebo week. If it will set her mind at ease she can take a pregnancy test the first day of her next placebo week.

It doesn't matter if it's her first or thousanth time having sex...women can get pregnant any time they have sex if it coincides with the right time in her cycle. Sperm can live for several days in the vagina sometimes, and still fertilize an egg. And, it's still possible (although less likely) for a woman to get pregnant during her period, if the ovaries have released an egg.

If your friend was on prescription medicine, she needs to make sure that it's not something that would reduce the effectiveness of her pills-usually antibiotics are the culprit, but there are other medications that can do that as well.
