Mittelschmertz (sp?)
Aug. 30th, 2002 02:19 amhi i pretty much just joined to see if i could get ay insight into this at all. it has been concluded that i am in the small portion of women who get mittelschmertz during ovulation to the point where its dibiliating. I cant breathe or walk and i need to lay down. I was just wondering if there were any other women who have this...and what do you do to help? is there a pain killer that works well? anything. Its terrible and will last for up to three days in spurts of time as long as three hours. It is quite awful. *seeking insight*. Sorry i don't know how to spell the name of a disease i have... but im just a teen

Date: 2002-08-30 11:30 am (UTC)I've been suffering with it for almost 10 years now, and I've always been told it was just PMS. *growl*
Anyway, it started with just really bad cramps, and over time I started getting debilitating cramps during ovulation and it's ALWAYS hurt during sex if the thing penetrating me (fingers, penis, dildo, vibrator, whatever) went in and actually touched the end of my vagina. The pain eventually worked up to *hurting me all the damn time* before they did something.
Not everyone (in fact, most girls *DON'T*) have the amount of pain I do, but it's a possibility. It could also just be a normal thing and you're very sensitive to sensations in your abdomen.
Start getting it checked, esp if you're sexually active - rule out as much as you can, you know? :)
Good luck!!
