CALL A DOCTOR NOW.

you also might check out the mayo clinic online (http://www.mayoclinic.com) and just type something like "painful ovaries" in the search box.

good luck -- i hope you get this taken care of soon. like, NOW!

feel better, too. :(

my ovaries hurt before and during every period. it manifests itself as horrible muscle pain in my lower back. however, you may want to go to the doctor. it could be lots of things. if it is your ovary, it could be a really big cyst, or even cancer of some kind (not to scare you, but it's a possibility). if it's not your ovary, it could be your appendix (i'm not sure which side your appendix is on, though) or you could have some kind of blockage in your intestine. if it hurts a lot, go to the emergency room. better safe than sorry.

I'm almost positive the appendix is generally located on the right side near the base of the large intestine. It was originally considered a part of the digestive system, even though it doesn't really serve a digestive purpose.

When I examined a cadaver awhile back, we found it on the right side of the cadaver about 5 to 6 inches from the hip in a vertical line with the middle of the right breast.

Hope this helps.
Vanessa's right about the cyst thing. Gotta be careful about those. One of my friends here had a ruptured ovarian cyst and was in pretty serious condition. It's really not something to take lightly. When in doubt or in pain, tis better to be safe than sorry.

Best,
Bean

In health and bio class they said your ovaries can move around, in order to make sure the egg goes into the tube, you know? So many your ovary is just moving around a bit. I wouldn't be too worried, especially since so many women seem to experience it, you know?

i don't know if you've looked more into it, but this should help a little.... i didn't think that just me saying "yeaj that could be it..." so this (http://www.mayoclinic.com/home?id=HQ00224&bucket=staged) has a bit of an answer.
:P
sorry for commenting so much later than maybe needed, and saying a lot of what other people have said.
