Hello all. My name's Jeane and I'll be your resident idiot. I'm tall, unnaturally blond, and I hate walks on the beach. I don't like rappers, and I hate tampons even more. I've got a cat. Yes I do.

On to the Question:

Has anyone here ever done the morning after pill thing? How does it work.....? What's the pain level if any? ......I'm concerned.

How can you hate Tampons?

Anyways, my brother's ex used it while they were together and it worked fine and she didnt mention any side effects... Def. a good thing to have.

i think it really depends on the person. i knew one really petite looking japanese girl... she went on it... no reactions. i'm a hearty filipino girl... went on it. was nauseous one day after starting it and had to stay home from work... could have been nerves too though.

my delicate tall white friend had a reaction too... only she vomitted and stuff... you can actually insert the pills vaginally if you're prone to throwing up.

i'm really thankful for the morning after pill... it's my backup contraception method.

I'd talk to a Dr. and find out "everything" before using it. Also do you have a current Physicians Desk Reference? If you need to go to the library they usually have a copy. Are you allergic to any drugs? These are all things to consider. Take care.

When I took it, is was in the morning, and at first it just knocked me out, sleepy-wise, but then again, that could have been the stress and not sleeping that night at all. I went to work, crashed at my desk (fortunately it was a slow time and there was nothing to do) (i shoudln't have gone to work, but hey, that's one of the reasons I don't work there anymore).

Later that night while I was trying to sleep was when it really hit. I was nauseous and weak and shaky, delirious with pain and nausea. The people at the clinic told me if that happened to take Dramamine, but to eat something before hand. I tried to get up out of bed and just collapsed. Fortunately I was with the guy I was dating at the time and he helped me sit up, brought me water and crackers, and helped me through that and then I just passed out until the next morning.

It was hell, but I wouldn't have not done it, just in case. I really don't feel that it was our fault that we had a faulty condom, so I have no regrets about it. If it worked/didn't, I'll never know, but I'm still child free.

my friend who took it had to take gravol with it because it made her so nauseous. her doctor told her that most people need to take it with the morning after pill.
