ok... i thought about asking this in birthcontrol, but i usually get a quicker answer from you guys here...

i started taking yasmin for the first time two weeks ago today... everything's been going great, i had a few bouts of nausea the first few days, but other than that i haven't had the nasty effects or anything wrong going on.. blood pressure stayed normal, everything's peachy...

except that my period should have stopped at least a week ago... and while it's not like gushing red rivers anymore... it's this obnoxious brownish mucus trickle thingie that looks like what i usually get at the very end of my periods, except it WON'T GO AWAY...

i've been thinking maybe to just finish out the pill pack and start on the second one and it'll straighten itself out, but i just wonder if this is normal for the first time taking stuff like this...

my gynocologist back at home is the one who put me on this, and now i'm at college, so i'll have to go to student health if anything is really wrong, and i can't go until Thursday anyway... so please just let me know :) thanks!

If you're 2 weeks into the pill, it's about time for ovulation (yes?)... getting some spotting around then is another potential side effect of the pill. My thoughts: give it another month and see what happens. If this keeps happening, you might need a stronger formulation of the Pill (iirc, Yasmin is a somewhta lower-dose one; I could be wrong) or your doctor could suggest something else. However, unless this is really bothering you right now, I'd say wait and see if your body "gets over it" as you adjust
