I'm wondering about what "the worst day" is for most people during their cycle.

Mine tends to be the second day of menstruation, and I know that's kind of unique. But that's when I have the strongest flow, worst cramps and cravings, and feel the most depressed.

I've also noticed that I get incredibly irritable and/or depressed for one day exactly a week before the menstruation begins.

Anyone else have unique "bad days" like this?

The second day is definitely the worst for me too... it's super heavy and I hurt and I cry a lot.

Mine is the day before flow starts (headachy, moody) and the first day (very heavy flow), and it's a breeze after that.

My worst day (moody, feeling physically miserable, and incredibly irritable) tends to be 1-2 days before my period starts.

Then the cramps start around the same time as my actual flow.

Then again, I'm generally pretty moody for most of a week before my period - once the flow starts, I'm generally fine, emotionally.

Day two is *always* my worst day. The heaviest, the crampiest - and I get really tired, too.

yep, the second day is the worst for me too...
the severe pain and bloating and fatigue doesn't usually kick in full throttle until then :\

it's funny though, because AS SOON AS i start bleeding (like, within minutes), my cramps kick in. but never before that. weird.

... me too... it's like a mental thing, I guess. I think if I didn't have to worry about the tampon, I would NEVER have cramps because I wouldn't think about it being my period.

Used to be my second day because the cramps would wait until then... but since I've been on the Pill, first day's been the worst, the bleediest and crampiest.

Generally the first day because that's when I really cramp, but the headaches don't start until the second or third day, so I guess its a toss up

mine is the second day of menstruation as well... and always on the full moon, as odd as that might sound.

the first day... just about as soon as i start bleeding, i start cramping. and it escalates until i have to throw up multiple times. i'm just worthless, can't stand or walk or even sleep from the pain. i'm shaky and touch-sensitive and completely weak. does anyone have any recommendations on how to medicate myself so it wont be such a problem?????

Have you ever tried Anaprox or Naproxen sodium (same thing different names)? I have the same problems and they're so bad I have to sleep for the first 1-3 days of my period since I can't do anything else. However the anaprox works wonderfully, it stops cramps almost instantly which helped with being nauseous as well. Just be sure to take it with food otherwise it can make you pretty sick. Hope this helps.
