It is not irregular bleding, but irregular ovulation (assuming you are ovulating). The luteal phase of a woman's cycle is amazingly constant, only varying by 2 days or less. The trick is to know how long your luteal phase is, and when you have ovulated. Try this book - it is excellent and will show how to know when you have ovualted and when to expect your period:
