Nov. 1st, 2002 01:46 pmthis is a half introductory post, half question...
my name is sara and i'm 27.
i've been diagnosed recently as being estrogen dominant and am now on hormone replacement therapy. my mother is also estrogen dominant. they didn't check her for it until she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and they didn't check me for it until after she'd been diagnosed.
is anyone else going through this nightmare?

She is estrogen dominant.
I have endometriosis and am estrogen dominant.
So you're not the only one! It really is a nightmare though, and I am extremely sorry to hear that you have to go through it as well.

Re:
Date: 2002-11-08 06:40 am (UTC)No- haven't been on any progesterone treatments. I am currently on Lupron Depot to treat the endometriosis (it's a drug that induces menopause) after having 2 laparoscopy's and laser removals of endo since April 02.
It's always kind of relieving to find a checklist where what you've been going through shows up on. But then again, it's kind of one of those catch 22's- cause once you know what you have, then you have to deal with that too.
Kinda damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
