so for the past week I have had this very strange itchy burning thing going on , ok I started my period on Monday , I had sex the night before and I felt very sore , so anyway on monday my period starts and stops and comes back on tuesday and ended on thursday , but all the while I have this itchy sensation , I figured it would pass, but on thursday I was about to have sex with my boyfriend again and when he tried to go in it hurt like hell like I was on fire, so of course no sex, ok so it is now saturday and although it has calmed down a little after the use of an over the counter cream I am still very uncomfortable, any thoughts as to what I should do besides go to the doctor which I think will be the next step if nothing else works. please help me ladies. Peace

sounds like a yest infection to me. you could either bake bread or buy a tube of monistat 7. eat alot of yogurt too, and you can even use plain unflavoed & smear a little on yer hurting yoni :)

I'm going to say yeast infection too. I JUST had my first one. It ended a few days ago, but yeah, it's itchy AND burns at the same time. I got a 3 day treatment, but there is the 1 day pill also that you can get prescribed. Just get treatment soon, it won't go away. *hugs* I know exactly how you feel. I was freaked out when it happened. Hope it goes well!

Also, something to help balance the pH of that area: take a warm bath with a cup of vinegar put in.

i had the same thing happen to me a few times, and i couldn't figure out why the yeast infection treatments wouldn't work. i finally gave up and went to the doc, and it turns out that it wasn't a yeast infection at all. if the treatments for a yeast infection don't make it go away, it might be bacterial vaginosis, which is similar to a yeast infection, except instead of yeast, it's bacteria that have gotten out of hand. if the treatments for yeast infections don't help, your doc can do a culture to see if it's BV. it can be really hard to tell the difference without actually having experienced both types of infections, so don't stress if it doesn't go away once you've tried all the great ideas that everyone's been recommending.

just figured i'd pitch in my 2 cents...

thanks!

Try tea tree oil. Put it on a tampon and put it in if you can stand it, or use a cream with it in it (depends on what's in the cream, you might only be able to use it on the outside.) Tea tree's good for bacterials and fungals.
