this IS the worst period i've ever had. (see today's earlier post) this is INSANE. i drove to wal-mart to pick up some MORE tampons & stuff (about a 4 mile trip from home) and in that time, i bled through a SUPER tampax tampon. geez! good thing i was wearing a pad, too. *sigh* i'm convinced that my uterus is falling out. OW.

so now i'm equipped with some overnight pads. hopefully i'll s-l-o-w d-o-w-n the flow tomorrow. *prays*

If you're bleeding through a super tampon in a half hour, maybe you should see a doctor and see if everything in there is ok. I know everyone's period is different and some are heavy, but i've never heard of a normal period being THAT heavy. it should take at least an hour or two to bleed through one of those(it would take me probably 6-8 hours but i have generally light periods). Anyway, hope it gets better but if the bleeding doesn't slow down, see a doc. You're probably not dying or anything so don't panic, but it is worth checking out. Good luck!

if it continues at this rate, i'm going to start worrying, but for now i'll just put my social schedule on hold. :) i don't think that it's going to be as bad today, though...i have that sense. *shrug* hee hee. thanks, though! *hugs*

I feel your pain. In the past six months or so, I've started having periods where I can't even leave the house on day 2 because I'm bleeding so heavily -- I once bled through a Keeper, a 'super' pad, and my jeans, into a little puddle on my bar stool at Bennigan's. I'll have about 80% of my flow on one day and the remainder will be a trickle. I've always had a heavy flow, but nothing like this. My doctor didn't seem too concerned, though, so I guess it's more inconvenient than dangerous (in my case, at least).

Right now, I've just started my first period since going on hormonal birth control. So far, it's much lighter, but we'll see how the rest of it goes.

it's so weird, b/c in high school, (i'm 23 now) i used to have to change my super tampons b/t EVERY class on days 2 and 3 of my period. then during college my cycle got wacko for a really long time, and just lately i've been back to having a semi-normal cycle. i should have "semi" in quotes...ha ha. anyway, my periods were all pretty light until this one. that's why it was so shocking. i have the feeling that it's going to be better today, though, thank goodness. however, that didn't help me out on tuesday when i was meeting a guy for dinner that i haven't seen since high school *shakes head* i felt retarded running to the bathroom 3 times in 4.5 hours. at the end of the night i could feel the pool forming in my pants. *sigh* so i had to put on my coat to cover things up. hee hee. oh well. he has my number now
