Thank you, Dr W!
Nov. 14th, 2002 10:32 pmFor about the third time ever, I'm having an almost pain-free period (since starting them about 15 years ago).
I'm taking both the pill (Femodene) and Ponstan (mefenemic acid), which both helped quite a lot.
But the vital bit was following the advice that I'd never seen in a magazine or anything, but my GP suggested a couple years ago.
Get as much sex as possible when you're premenstrual. It relaxes the muscles involved. For me, it seems to work.
Besides, it's free and feels good! And also stops my partner from feeling helpless that I'm in pain and they can't do anything. :)
Hope this helps someone else.
