So here i am in the hut for the past two days, better than standing outside waiting... Every month is a whole different time, one month it could get here on the 5th other months its as late as the 20th. Kind of nerve-wrecking really. Anyway, I have a few questions for you all. I am no stranger to cramps but it seems like the later in the month i get my period, the worse the cramps are. Seeing how i was technically 12 days late this month (going by last months date) i am having REALLY bad cramps. I am going to be brutally blunt cause I don't know how to delicately put this next part, but I was using the bathroom earlier today and had to go "number 2" (LOL) and i couldn't even push it hurt my entire gut. It felt like i was being stabbed or in my mind it is what I think having contractions must feel like when giving birth. I couldn't even breathe. It only lasted a few seconds at a time but it hurt like hell. I still am really sore when I sit down. Its all internal pain which is why I am curious to find out if anyone else goes through this. I have been taking advil all day and I don't know if its helping anymore. I tried midol and tylenol but neither seemed to help me. If anyone knows what its about or has any ideas or suggestions please let me know. I have tried stretching, I work in a dog kennel so needless to say I exercised today, I also tried curling up with a water bottle, I'm just about out of ideas. Thanks everyone!

You can try rasberry leaf tea, which may help. Also blue or black cohosh (I forget which one) is good for cramps.

Make sure that during the whole month you're getting enough calcium and magnesium-that can make a huge difference. I found also cutting down/out caffeine from my diet helped a lot.

It could also be something as simple (and embarrassing :)) as constipation during your period, in which case you drink more water and "fruit with skins." I had some freaky pains in my lower belly and the doctor suggested that. Drinking lots of water did help.

Also, if it's that bad, i would ask a doctor about endometriosis. Supposedly it causes a lot of pain and is a condition of the tissues involved in having your period. Just a suggestion to check out...

Ouch, I feel you on this one! I get those same symptoms about every other month, because my cramps are so bad. My usual treatment is laying in bed with a heating pad. They're god's gift to women!

Oh my god I know what you mean. Last month, I had that. I never had it before, and it lasted for like...15-20 minutes. I had to like..sit on the toilet, unable to move. It hurt so much, I couldn't think. The only thing being aknowledged was the pain. It didn't feel like I was being stabbed, it felt like I had been stabbed with a fucked up jagged sword and someone was swivelling it around in my adbomen. And my stomach was empty so that made it even worse. And because I hadn't eaten, I felt like I was going to puke as well. (I feel sick when I go longish without eating). It was one of the worst things I've ever felt. And then the pain made me feel even more sick.
Know what helped? I went to my boyfriend's bed and masturbated, then dozed off for 10 minutes. It was gone.

I'm 18, and I just started getting cramps a few months ago. It sucks a lot. I used to be pretty much a cronic masturbator, but stopped...a few months ago. Kuz my sex drive dropped due to an uhappyish environment.
So yeah, might wanna try masturbating. And even better, do it in a hot relaxing bath.
