Does anyone know what could cause Progesterone pills to not work. I was taking them to bring on my period. It's possible (though not likely) that I'm pregnant, but would that stop it???
I hope that's it, but if not, the pills aren't working.

I don't know if this helps or not, but when I was prescribed Provera, I was told that if I was pregnant, it wouldn't hurt the baby at all... I just wouldn't get my period. My doctor told me that it would take up to 2 weeks to work. My experience with provera is that it always works within 10 days.

Is Provera the same as progesterone??? (If it is, you learn something new every day I guess.)
I was told the pills I took would only take 5 days to work after the final day of pills.
I guess I'll just have to wait until next Thursday to find out what's going on. :(

provera is Progesterone.
Did you take a pill a day for 10 days?

I hope you get your period soon. I know all too well what it's like to sit around and wait for it to come.

I took 2 pills a day for 5 days.
I'm almost crossing my fingers that I'm pregnant! I'm just really stressed right now, and that can't be good for the baby.

You could try doing a pregnancy test. The home test kits are extremely reliable now, and they work from the date your period should have been due.

See, if I go by that, I'd be almost two months pregnant, but I know that's not possible. Because of the fact that I have PCOS and a whole whack of other problems, I don't get regular periods.
I think I'll just get a blood test done when I see my doctor, and in the mean time, I'll just be careful and not do anything that could hurt a baby.
